WATCH: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, after Hungary blocked EU's one sided declaration against Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas.
Hungary is Israel’s closest ally in the EU bloc, and it declined to join the other 26 foreign ministers in calling on Israel to lay down its arms and stop defending itself against Hamas rocket attacks.
Without Hungary, the EU could not officially pass the declaration.
