Outrage in Australia after video of Muslim girls in Sydney dressed in white from head to toe as part of a hijab
ceremony to signify the age when they must cover up their bodies, went viral on social media.
Moderate Muslim leader in Australia, Imam Tawhid, was horrified to see this ceremony taking place in Australia.
He strongly attacked this tradition on social media post that went viral (embedded below).
This tradition of "white hijab ceremony" at the age of 7-9 is very common in Iran, in fact every Islamic school in Iran is obliged to perform this "hijab ceremony" where girls are forced to give up the autonomy over their own body.
Under Sharia law girls can marry at the age of 6, just like the Prophet Muhammad from the Koran did when he married Aisha.
An estimated 12 million girls under 18 are married each year. Girls who marry before they turn 18 are less likely to remain in school and more likely to experience domestic violence.

In 2017 I exposed Australia’s most senior Muslim cleric dressing up 9 year old girls and parading them in his Islamic Centre as ‘women that have reached the stage of adulthood.’ I can’t wait for the day I go after the bigger snakes. Safety first, i guess.. https://t.co/AYR2zzmvv8
