
Appearing on CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) explained how she as a Muslim and many other Muslims suffer after 9/11 by how Americans treat them.
Ilhan Omar: "as a Muslim, not only was I suffering as an American who was attacked on that day, but the next day I woke up as my fellow Americans were now treating me as a suspect.”

This interview followed a controversial speech she gave in which Omar, one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, mentioned 9/11 and did not consider it a terrorist attack on the USA by terrorists, instead she refered to it as “Some people did something”.
