WATCH: In a video that went viral on social media Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to the allegations against him of being a racist.
The video was posted by Trudeau with the following description:
"...What I did was hurtful to people who live with intolerance and discrimination every day. I recognize that, and I take full responsibility for it. I know that I let a lot of people down with that choice, and I am deeply sorry..."
Trudeau was forced to apologize aftera photo of him wearing brownface when he was a teacher in 2001 went viral on social media and after a video came to light in which he is seen in a white T-shirt and torn jeans, his face and limbs covered in black make-up.
Many in the black communities in Canada and the US have been greatly offended by Trudeau's racist incidents.
