Twenty people were killed and 47 injured when a car packed with explosives intended blew up outside Cairo’s main cancer hospital on Monday, the Interior Ministry said.
The blast occurred around midnight local time (2300 BST) on a road running alongside the Nile River in an area outside Egypt’s National Cancer Institute. Pictures of the scene published by Egypt’s largest newspaper, Al-Ahram, taken just after the incident showed two burnt-out cars, with at least one completely blackened and dented from the force of the explosion.
In recent years, Egypt's president has been waging war against ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, which formed an alliance to overthrow Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's regime.
Egypt's regime is often condemned by Western governments and the Western media over its brutal treatment of terrorists belonging to Islamic terrorist organizations, it is unfortunate to see that even after the brutal terrorist attack ioutside Cairo hospital, Western countries do not ban the Muslim Brotherhood organization.
