An Iranian women's rights activist has been jailed for a total of 24 years - including a 15-year term for 'spreading prostitution by taking off her hijab'.
Saba Kord Afshari, 20, was handed the sentence by Tehran's Revolutionary Court after being found guilty of removing her headscarf as well as 'spreading propaganda against the state' and 'assembly and collusion'.
The media is turning a blind eye to the Islamic oppression of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran to avoid damaging the image of Islam in the West.
American-Iranian human rights activist, Masih Alinejad,
posted this video on social media to raise awareness of women's struggle against sharia laws in Iran.
The video (Embedded below) was posted with the following description: "...Her name is #SabaKordafshari, she is only 20 but has received 24 year prison sentence. One of her 'crime' is #WalkingUnveiled . Where is the outrage in the media who seem besotted with @Jzarif and the nuclear deal? #WhiteWednesdays call on international community to condemn it...." Her life is in danger, in prison she is subjected to mental and physical torture.
Please go to Twitter account of Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and tell him to release this innocent woman!
