The Trump administration is considering designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group allowing it to impose economic and travel sanctions on companies and individuals who interact with the group.
Recently Rep. Ilhan Omar sparked a backlash after a video surfaced of her speech to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in which she trivialized the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and described it as “CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
