Human rights activists throughout social media have turned the Hashtag #Alireza_ShirmohammadAli, trending in order to raise awareness of the brutal persecution of dissidents in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As you can see in the Tweet embedded below female activist shared his picture with the following description:
"...All of you, the supporters of the mullahs regime, must remember #Alireza_ShirmohammadAli forever, he lost his life because of protesting against this corrupt regime. While he was only 21 years old. You ignored the death of an innocent human being for the sake of your interests..." Anyone who dares to protest against the ayatollahs' regime or against Islamic oppression is arrested and faces the death penalty.
The United Nations, the media, and human rights organizations in the West ignore the brutal violation of human rights in Iran.
The United Nations has lost its legitimacy as some of the worst human rights violations have been given key roles in all the councils, agencies.
Since Trump took office, he has cut hundreds of millions of dollars in US aid to the United Nations and cut all ties with a large number of UN agencies including: UN agencies in Gaza (UNRWA), the UN's cultural agency (UNESCO), UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and quite recently with the UN refugee agency (UNHCR).
Western countries must follow President Trump and take significant steps to reform the UN.
