Watch: Video that went viral on social media shows police officers and sharia in Iran arrest an adolescent girl claiming her dog violates sharia law.
They also accused her of wearing an improper hijab.
This girl is facing a prison sentence and flogging, her dog was taken away and probably will be executed by injection of acid (a popular practice in the Islamic Republic of Iran).
This is how the secular Iranian people are treated by the Sharia police force which enforces strict religious laws.
Traditionally in Islam, dogs are considered impure, and the Islamic legal tradition has developed several injunctions that warn Muslims against most contact with dogs. Unfortunately, many Muslim countries like Iran have used this view to justify the abuse and neglect of dogs.
In Iran Dog owners face a prison sentence and even lashes in public.
Iran not only has the worst human rights record but also the worst animal rights record.
